How to compare log suppliers near you
Two log suppliers can look similar at first glance but offer very different value once you include bag size, delivery, review quality and product details.
1. Start with delivery area
Do not rely only on where a supplier is based. Many log companies deliver far beyond their yard, while others only cover a tight local radius. Search by where they deliver, not just their postcode.
2. Compare the real quantity
Words like bulk bag, dumpy bag, barrow bag and loose load are not always used consistently. Ask for dimensions or cubic metre volume where possible. A cheaper bag may not be cheaper if it contains less wood.
3. Check delivery costs
Some suppliers include delivery. Others add charges by distance, postcode or order size. Minimum order values can also change the real cost.
4. Look at review signals
Google reviews are not perfect, but they are useful. Look at rating, review count, recent activity and whether reviews mention dry logs, reliable delivery, polite service or problems being resolved.
5. Check trust details
- Ready to Burn or moisture information.
- Clear phone, email and website details.
- Product photos and delivery instructions.
- Recent customer feedback.
The best supplier is usually the one that makes it easy to understand exactly what you are buying.
